It’s good to be home.

Okay, today was mostly uneventful so this post should be relatively short.

Woke up about 8:30 after sleeping in a recliner; it was actually quite comfortable (I’m sure the air conditioning helped too). Ate breakfast, showered, packed, and headed to the airport. The car ride was a little long because we literally hit stop-and-go traffic on the way up. We ended up getting to the airport with about an hour until boarding time. My dad dropped me and my mom off at the terminal to check the bags in while he took the car back to the rental place. That would have been all well and good except the rental car return was in a totally different terminal and he had to take the trolley back to the terminal where we were, then get through security to meet us at the gate, all within an hour. Needless to say we were all a little stressed about getting it all done in time. It all worked out in the end and dad made it in time. The only thing worth mentioning is we decided to get something to eat, but as we were eating they started boarding the plane 15 minutes early; so that kind of added to the stress.

Got on the plane, watched Scrubs for 3 hours and then just sat and watched the scenery. We landed, got our bags, my brother picked us up and to home we went. We got home and I barely got settled when my mom sent me to the store. I kid you not, I was sent to the store within 15 minutes of being home. But it was worth it because we ended up having a good steak dinner with scalloped potatoes.

Now, here I am, unpacking and resting while watching the Padres trying to win it in extra innings. I’m thinking it’s gonna be an early night for me. I am very much looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight.
