Greetings from Minnesota

It’s 3:03AM local time and I just thought I’d post a random blog up. I’m laying on a couch in the hotel in Minneapolis and all is well. The flight went fairly well and my laptop battery lasted the entire 2 1/2 hours that I needed it. I just threw Scrubs Season 1 into my computer and watched it the whole way. We hit a little bit of turbulance, it was fun.

At any rate, I’m dead tired now so i’m just goin to bed. More later.

Gettin ready to leave …

Well, just a few more minutes and we’ll be off to the airport. It’s been a good day, went to breakfast with Erica and then we went and saw Star Wars (which I might add was pretty darn good).

Anyway, just came here to check the traffic … next you’ll hear from me I’ll be in Minnesota.

Busyness Ensues

So lately I’ve been feeling like I’ve been unbelievably busy lately; between work, friends, and family, it’s like I don’t have time to myself. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing, because I definitely have been having some serious fun lately, it just gets to tire me out. I was really looking forward to a 3-day weekend of relaxation, but alas, that didn’t really happen. Don’t get me wrong, I had a great weekend; it just wasn’t as relaxing as I had hoped. I didn’t get to sleep in nearly as much as I wanted, nor did I get much relaxing “me” time, but all in all it was a good weekend.

Well, let’s see what I did this weekend. Friday afternoon Erica and I went out and got some ice cream. Then I went into the office for a little bit and after that went over to Courtney’s and hung out while I got rid of adware and spyware on their computer.

Saturday I woke up kind of early and went to a phase release at the condo Brian and I are trying to buy. Since this is the first time I’ve mentioned the condo, I’ll give you the rundown on what’s going on there. A couple of months ago, Brian approached me and asked if I wanted to go in with him and buy a house. I was reluctant at first because I had to figure out the money and how things would work, what we could afford, what I wanted; you know basically, “could this be done?”? After thinking and planning, I decided that sure enough, it COULD be done; so Brian and I started looking at condos. We went all over San Diego: from Mission Valley, to Rancho Bernardo, and everything in between. We ended up settling on Savannah Terrace. It is a brand new development in Sabre Springs, which is just west of Poway. Our intent is to purchase a Plan 1, which is a 1,000 square-foot 2-bed 2-bath condo with 1-car garage. When we considered everything that comes with the condo and all the on-site amenities, we realized that it was a relatively great deal compared to what else is out in San Diego.

Since the condos are still being built, they release a group of them at a time for sale in phases; and so those sales are appropriately called “phase releases.”? Brian and I had to put our names on a list in order to be allowed to take part in the phase releases. As condos come up for purchase, they are offered to people on the list in order and as they are offered the condo, they are given the option to purchase then, or to “defer” which keeps them on the list and in their position. When we first signed up, we were something like 185, and 188 on the list. After the first phase release in April, we jumped up 100 spots to about 82. There was another phase release this past Saturday in which we deferred once again. We should be realistically expecting to have moved up in the list to about 35-40 which puts us in good position to get the condo we want in the next phase which should be in early July. If we put the deposit down on our condo then, we should be moving into our brand new home somewhere between November and January.

After the phase release on Saturday, we went to the gym and then I went home, showered and went to a birthday bbq for Gaile’s aunt. It was, as usual, a great time. Gaile’s dad has a Digital Rebel, which is the previous version of my camera, and he also has a nice zoom lens which he let me use on my camera and so I went around taking photos of everything. I liked the lens so much that I got home Saturday night and ordered a similar lens. Expect plenty of pictures to show up on my site with the new lens.

Sunday I woke up, went to church, spent most the afternoon doing yard work, and then everyone came over for a bbq. Again, some more fun was had.

Monday I woke up earlier than I wanted to because someone thought it would be a good idea to hammer wood outside my window. I wasn’t too happy when I woke up because of that. Went and ran some errands with Courtney in the morning, did some prep work for my trip to Minnesota, then went to the Padres game. The Padres beat the Brewers 2-1 thanks to Miguel Ojeda’s bottom-of-the-ninth, two-out double that scored Geoff Blum all the way from first. It was quite an exciting moment at the end of the game.

Well, as I already touched on briefly I’m headed to Minnesota with the family. We leave tomorrow, and we’ll be back on Tuesday, June 7th. We’re headed out there to party for my aunt’s 25th wedding anniversary and my cousin’s graduation. Since my dad grew up out there, we’re going to do some sightseeing as well, so expect PLENTY of pictures when I get back. I’m really looking forward to the trip; I really could use the week off.

Okay, time to wrap this up. I have to go do my laundry and get packing. The Brewers just took a 4-3 lead over the Padres. It’s now the bottom of the 4th, let’s see if the Padres can pull it off like they normally do. Leave comments.

P.S. – The big changes coming to the site here are still on the way, I’ve just been a bit busy lately.

Hello!? :echo: hello … hello …

Wow … umm … yeah … hi! I just had to clean off all the cobwebs that were hanging from all the walls in here. Yeah yeah I know, it’s been quite a while since I’ve given ANY type up serious update on my life. (As if anyone cares or anything) And since now I’m on Spring Break, I have some spare time to bring you up to speed.

But yah … the biggest thing happening I think has been the remodeling of the bathrooms in our house. 2 of the 3 bathrooms in our house have been remodeled. Downstairs we stripped the linoleum from the bathroom and hallway and replaced it with tile. We did all the work ourselves. We stripped the wall paper and relocated the vanity in the bathroom and put new wallpaper up and a new vanity and mirror and light fixture. It looks great in there now, I must say.

And then we had the master bathroom completely remodeled. We hired a contractor to do all the work and they’ve been working since the middle of January and are just about finished. The bathroom is completely done, there are just a few minor things left to do in the rest of the master bedroom before everything is COMPLETE. I’ll post pictures soon of before and after work in both bathrooms. The third bathroom will be remodeled soon, we just literally couldn’t live without all three bathrooms.

Other than that, there’s really nothing immensely new going on. I went to Vegas in March with Brian and Courtney to watch Lealta perform. If you remember, we did the same thing last year and once again, we had a blast. Well, I had as much fun as I could have as a 20-year-old in Vegas when all my friends are 21 or over. So yeah, it coulda been better, but overall it wasn’t too bad. I only got kicked out of 1 hotel, the Monte Carlo. The whole thing was kinda stupid, and I felt like I ruined Brian’s and Courtney’s nights because we had to go back to our hotel and just hung out in the room for the rest of the night. But oh well.

I’ve had my Jetta for over a year now, and it’s been great to me. Only thing that I’ve had a problem with is the brakes. Appairently I had the rear breaks down to metal-to-metal and so I had to get all new rotors and rear pads and everything. So that cost me a decent amount. But oh well.

And so now, it’s April 6th. Exactly 3 weeks from my 21st birthday. Am I excited? Yes! Am I excited strictly because I’m going to be 21? Not really. I’m excited because of what I’m doing for my birthday. Gonna go watch the Padres down at the new stadium, Petco Park. And then afterwards, head over to the Gaslamp and have some more fun. All with my family, including my sister, who will be down for her best friend’s wedding shower. So WOO!

Oh, and in May, I’m going to Key West for a company-paid vacation (sort of). Basically our company holds these seminars every year (they call it an Annual Training Meeting). Well, they send a whole bunch of employees to a different location every year and they have these training seminars that the employees attend. But the cool thing is, only a percentage of people are invited to attend, and this year I was invited. So I get to go to Key West for 4 days; all company-paid. Air, hotel, breakfast, lunch, dinner … all covered. How sweet is that? =o) Unfortunately I won’t get much time to do fun stuff like snorkeling or sight-seeing.

That’s all I can report for now. I’ll post up more things as I think of them.

creanium.net is back

Wow … how bout that … another 3 months without a SINGLE log entry. =o I’m sorry people, I have failed ye.

Well, let’s see, my summer has been pretty uneventful, honestly. I just been working like crazy, with occassional trips to Disneyland for concerts and what not. Went to an Angels game last week. It was cool, although they lost.

And honestly that’s basically it. The power supply in my computer decided it would be pretty cool to go out on me. That wasn’t so cool. But it did allow me to get a new computer case, so that was cool. It took me about 3 hours to get things transfered to this new case and to clean up all my wires and stuff and get things hooked all back up.

So now my computer is up and running again and I’m posting log messages. And yeah, what else is going on? Well, Erica is in Germany with her parents and classmates from her German class. I’ve gotten a couple emails from her and it sounds like she’s having a blast. It’s really weird not having her around to talk to or hang out with, but meah, I deal. I’ve been spending most of my nights at home since she left early Monday morning. Well, on Monday, a bunch of us went to Courtney’s and played Halo and Poker till 2:00AM. That was pretty fun. Then Tuesday and Thursday nights, I just stayed home all night. Wednesday night, Reema and Kevin Sullivan and I planned out our camping trip that we’re taking in a couple of weeks. More on that later. Then I was up until 6:00 Thursday morning working on a project for work that I promised would be up and running by Thursday morning. Well a few things got in the way and it took longer than expected. =o( But I did finally get it out and the boss is somewhat happy with the results. And then tonight Brian and Josh and I are heading out to Barona to do some fun gambling. Good thing I have money. ;o)

So about the camping trip, It should be pretty cool. We’re going to be spending a week in San Simeon, which is about 6 hours from here up the coast. We’re planning on spending a day in Montery and then spending another day in San Fransisco. We’ll also be doing some typical beach stuff and some hiking and whatnot. All in all it should be a really cool fun week.

Okay, not really much else to report other than I’m still loving my car, 6 months later. Yeah can you believe it? It’s been just about 6 months already. And the scary thing too is I’ve put 10,000 miles on it already. That’s gross. I usually wouldn’t put that much on the truck in a year, let alone twice that. I put a new sound system in there too, replacing all the speakers and putting in a new amp. So now it sounds really nice and clean and loud and I LOVE it. Hehe.

Okay, well that’s it for now. I will make a big effort to post more in the future, so my fans have more to read. (Yeah right, what fans?)

Greetings from Vegas

Well … I’m sitting here in a hotel room in Vegas watching DVDs on my Xbox, while chatting with people on my laptop. I was talking with Evan when he said I should update my blog. I agreed and so here I am updating. =o)

Okay, well the past couple weeks have been pretty fun. I’ll stop obsessing on my new car here. =o) Hehe, anyway, we’re in Vegas because Courtney and her sister are performing with Lealta. They did REALLY well tonight and are in first place in their class by a point and a half. They have finals tomorrow morning so they haven’t won quite yet. I’ll let you know how they do later. We drove over in the Jetta. It’s a very nice road car. Very comfortable and smooth.

Brian and I hit the strip today and played tourist. And Brian, even though he’s not 21 yet, won some money on the slots. But yah, I got pics, and I’ll post them.

Umm … two weeks ago Brian, Courtney, and I went up to Disneyland. That was fun and exciting, hehe. Just a fun day at Disneyland.

So yah, that’s about it for now. School and work are taking over my life anymore … so I’m busy busy busy.

K … I’ll get more up later … that’s it for now.

What a Time

Wow, so sorry for the COMPLETE lack of updates. But with the past couple of months being so distracting, I haven’t really had any motivation to post anything new.

As I’m sure most of you know, Erica and I broke up almost 2 months ago. I won’t go into too much detail here, so if you want to know more you can IM me or call me. But just know we’re still really good friends and hang out together and still have fun with each other.

Other than that, nothing MAJOR has occurred. We had Thanksgiving up at my sister’s in Sacramento. Did some sight-seeing and I took plenty of pictures. I’ll post those rather soon. You’ll also see pictures of my sister’s drunken cat. Seems her cat has developed a liking to alcohol, and can even drink it through a straw. It was quite humorous to watch. You’ll just have to wait for the pics to see for yourself.

Hmm, not much really happened in December, except for finals and the end of this school semester. I got 2 A’s and a B in my three classes, so I’m pretty happy about that.

Then Christmas came and it was better than I expected. I was a little afraid actually that I might end up feeling lonely, but it wasn’t bad at all. I got some cool stuff, mainly DVDs, but that’s mainly what I asked for this year so I guess you could say I made out pretty well.

My sister came home for New Years and her visit was really nice. I like it when my sister comes home, it really livens up the house around here.

Went to the Auto Show with Erica and Dan. I tried calling Evan because he had wanted to go with us, but I dunno if his phone wasn’t on or he wasn’t getting signal or what, but whenever I tried calling him, the call went straight into voicemail.

But yeah, saw a lot of cars. Sat in quite a few cars that I have been thinking about or considering, and I still settle on the Jetta. Overall it’s just a great car, especially the value for the money. I won’t get all obsessive and start naming off everything that’s great about it (like I did with the xbox) =o)

Oh yeah, my cell decided it would be cool if it just started acting up again. It was the 5th (yeah that’s right FIFTH) phone that I had gotten. The other 4 were glitchy too and I had to go into Verizon and they would swap the phones for me. So in getting fed up with the phone I decided to replace it with a more reliable one. Soooo, I got a Motorola T720. It’s a pretty sweet phone. It’s a flip phone with a color screen and everything else lights up white. I never thought I would be one to go for flip phones, but this one just appealed to me and it’s a great phone. Color screen, downloadable games, polyphonic ringtones; it’s got it all.

And yeah, I’m supposed to go report for Jury duty tomorrow . Just something about sitting in a room for 7 hours waiting to be called just doesn’t appeal to me. Maybe it’s just me. I was actually scheduled to report on the 6th, but since you can go any day within 2 weeks of your scheduled date, I tried to go last Wednesday. But on the way down there, I got stuck in traffic and ended up walking into the “Jury Room” at like 8:20 and the woman there said that they had already started orientation and that I was too late. So I had to go back home and I had nothing to do.

I think that’s about it for now. I’ll try to post things as I think of them.

I’m Sorry

sorry guys, i have been really slacking on putting up log entries. And I know some people have been going through withdrawls. So yah, right now I’m in Sacramento on my laptop visiting my sister. I’m having a blast up here, it’s great. Today we went fishing and I caught a bass. It wasn’t really that big, but it was kinda cool to just grab a fish on my first time out.

Nothing really major has gone on the past three weeks, hung out with friends, played Xbox, had fun. I registered for classes already, so I’ll be putting up my school schedule shortly.

Even though nothing MAJOR happened the past couple weeks doesn’t mean i’ve been doing nothing and bored. I’ve been having fun chillin with Erica and Brian and Courtney mainly playing Halo and such. Brian has really gotten good lately, and we finally got Courtney to start playing on a regular basis. It’s really fun, I swear! You should go buy an Xbox just to play Halo, it’s surprising how fun it is. Also, I was excited the other day when I found out that Halo 2 is coming out next year, WOO WOO!

So umm, that’s all I can think of for now. Erica and I celebrated our 14 month anniversary. And, man, that’s a long time! But it’s been great, I couldn’t have had it any other way.

Umm, oh yah, my debit card number got stolen, so some freak all the way in Poland used it to buy a $54 book, and it was $42 to ship it to him, so it was like $96 total. So I found out the merchant, called them, and they refunded me the money because they saw that it was definantly a fraudulant charge.

Okay, now you’re caught up. Maybe I’ll do some more updating later.
